Well, I finally got my HUGE edit back from my awesome, dedicated, crazy detailed project manager at Wildling Press… aaaaand I’m freaking out. Excited, overwhelmed… all the emotions! It only took approximately seventy million months, but it’s here!

I can’t wait to dive in to all of her suggestions. Even though it’s going to be tons of work, I know it’ll be worth it. I know it’ll be the way to finally be a successful published author.

While I’m busy dealing with editing over 80,000 words, I may not blog as much (but who knows, maybe I will). I’m just super excited to get Syrana and Calantha’s story out into the world and into all of your hands.

Maybe I’ll even start sharing snippets soon, if you’re all lucky, that is.

I just really want to say how much I appreciate my publisher. They clearly believe in me and my story because they have already worked so hard on my book. I tell my husband I’m really lucky to have them, and he tells me it’s not just luck.

It’s the fact I’m a good writer and have a good book.

That’s still hard to believe, but it feels good to hear it.

As I work through the edit of my debut novel, my dream of being a successful published author feels closer than ever.
